 Pre-scene Notes - Scene setup/conflict:  The party attends the feast Emperor Nero set up and learns of some secrets of the Empire. Altered scene; I’ve got a map/scenario in mind that I’d thought I would do after the fourth coliseum round, but maybe I have to put that in earlier as this altered scene is rolled… So I think the party will get some info from others before the feast, then after.  Scene: The party took as much time as they could to recover from the ordeal at the coliseum before the Emperor Nero and the Empress Ceres arrived. Ie short rest, Weird Elf could get a long rest in 4 hours, but I deemed it not enough time as he would have had to stay motionless. It was a bit difficult though with Jasper’s servants and tailors coming in and out of their room to try and get them ready in official togas for the feast.Admist the process of forcing Zar into a toga, two familiar characters barged into the party’s room. “Well well, here’s our new humble dormitory!"  Pre-scene Notes - Scene setup/conflict:  Another bout at the coliseum without a rest Altered scene: Rolled again on Mythic with a Yes, so gave the party a bit of respite with the arena presenter giving them info on the monster unwttingly and a chance to get a few cure spells in. Scene: What came out of the gate was the most normal looking man, apart from his overalls and a pair of dirty goggles. However, not long after, a giant golem came out from the darkness of the tunnel behind him. As if that was not enough, three mechanical looking snakes crept out from the strange man’s pockets. “The Inventor ! A common guest of the coliseum is back!” The arena presenter introduced the new gladiator while Zar took the chance to give another Lay on Hands to wake up Yankovic, and the later casting multiple Cure Wounds to return himself to fighting form. “The Inventor creates death machines that are immune to physical attacks and even magic has little effect! How will the new challengers fair again

 Pre-scene Notes - Scene setup/conflict:  Zar about to murder his previous allies in the coliseum. No altered/interrupted scene Scene: A reminder of where we’d left off last time. I’d changed Zar’s token from now that his sword is ‘awakened’ (and mechanical, he’s going to use broadsword now) and added an aura for this battle Zar sneered a Hexblade’s Curse and Weird Elf immediately felt a tightness on his chest. Filli dodge out of the charging half-arc and cast a Faerie Fire on him, not wanting to use an offensive spell.  “Didn’t you say you won’t lay a hand on Filli?” Yankovic yelled as he dodged an Eldritch Blast thrown his way. He could feel another layer of Hex on him as he charged to meet Zar at the now broken gate.  With both his ethereal and material warhammer, Zar was struck critical blows, although it did not seem like so at all as he shrugged them off and smashed down with his greatsword, which emitted an evilness that Yankovic had only seen from cursed relics found by the chu
